The Pushpalata Academy of Dance & Music was founded by Priya in 1992.   It is situated in Faridabad, on the outskirts of Delhi.  She works all around the world but was keen to do something for the next generation in her own country. 

Every year Priya visits in India during the winter and spends time with the Academy, an establishment  welcomed and enthusiastically supported by the area. 

The Academy aims to nurture the love of music and dance in students so that their lives may be enriched.  It also aims to produce performers, including professionals, who will be an asset to their country.

Dance students are encouraged to take some training in vocal music and tabla to enhance their proficiency in dance.

The Academy presents regular student showcases.  These give an opportunity for stage experience, serve as short-term goals and allow parents and friends the pleasure of following progress.
